Season at a glance:
Roger Water's
The Wall
One night only!
September 6, 2008

BCKSEET’s annual company fundraiser, Roger Waters’ rock musical The Wall will officially kick off the Season on Saturday, September 6th, at 8pm.

The Wall has captivated audiences for generations with revolutionary songs such as "Comfortably Numb," "Another Brick in The Wall," and “Hey You." Created as a concept album by legendary rock band Pink Floyd in 1979, The Wall follows the demise of young rock star, Pink, as he constructs a wall to protect himself from the "cruel world." An after-party will immediately follow the concert, with additional performances by Valentine’s Day Sucks 4 singer-songwriter competition winner, DeJesus, and a preview of music from the new musical, Some Assembly Required, coming from BCKSEET in 2009.

The concert will take place at the Society Hill Playhouse's Red Room located at 507 S. 8th Street in Philadelphia. Tickets are $20 and include VIP access to the after-party. Tickets are available through the Society Hill Playhouse's box office at 215.923.0210; seating is general admission.

Tickets to the after-party are available at the door after the concert for ONLY $5.

The Wall will feature a youth choir from Waldron Mercy Academy. This collaboration between professionals and students will mark the kick-off of BCKSEET’s Education Program, BCKSEET Ignition.  In addition to performing on the evening of the fundraiser, the students will participate in a free two-day intensive workshop in late August, helping them to hone their movement, musicianship and acting skills in addition to learning the material for the performance.
